General Studio Policies

REGISTRATION FEE
A registration fee of $26.00 per student is due upon registration. The maximum payment per family is $65.00. This is non-refundable or transferable. **10% Discount (rounded to the nearest dollar) will be applied if payment is made before the first of the month or if paid in full at registration**

TUITION POLICY
September lesson fees and the registration fee are due upon registration. These are non-refundable or transferable. There are no credits for missed lessons, however, missed lessons can and should be made up through March for classes with multiple class times.

**Does not apply to classes that run in sessions

Each account with a card that is declined will be assessed a $30 fee. Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Billing will occur between the 18th and 20th of each month.  Parents will be notified to allow them to login to their accounts and pay early to receive a discount as well as when cards on file will be charged.

In the event the studio is forced to close due to natural disaster, fire, theft, or destruction of property, pandemic, government order or an “Act of God”, tuition and fees paid to the date of closure are not refundable. The studio reserves to right to stop all in-person classes at the physical facility and resume service virtually. Families will receive communication to access virtual/on-line classes. Classes may be combined by age and/or level at the determination of the studio owners. Tuition will continue to be charged if the studio is required to move to virtual classes only or a hybrid of virtual and in-person sessions. Exceptions will be determined on a case by case basis.

DISCONTINUING LESSONS
Should you decide to discontinue lessons, parents must give a written and signed, 30-day advanced notice of your decision. Dancer's accounts will be charged for fees due until the 30th-day advance notice has expired. For example, if a parent turns in a withdrawal letter on December 15th, you will be responsible for payments on your accounts through Jan. 14th. Billing is done between the 18th and 20th of each month to allow families the opportunity to login and pay early to save.  Should your notice come in during that time you will still be responsible for that amount due as it falls within the 30 days.  Not showing up does not stop billing from happening as we do require that 30-day written notice to discontinue lessons with us.

ADDITIONAL TERMS
In the event that the studio is unable to host a recital at a theater/auditorium due to unforeseen circumstances such as a pandemic or natural disaster, the studio will make every effort to offer

1) Alternative recital date with the same calendar year if possible

2) Offer a virtual recital

3) Offer an in-house recital.

The director will determine the best format based on the circumstances as well as the safety of staff, students, families, and the community.

RECITAL FEE
A fee of $45.00 per dancer or a max of $55.00 per family will be charged in April of the current dance season. This will be billed at least 6 weeks prior to the scheduled recital date.

ATTENDANCE AND MISSED CLASSES

Consistent attendance is important to help students learn routines and grow in technique.  However, we understand that there may be times when a dancer may need to be absent. Please call the studio if your child will be absent from class. We have set up secure virtual links for each of the classes. If a dancer or a member of the dancer’s family is not feeling well, we ask that you notify the studio so that we can update the teacher to login to the virtual platform we have established.  Missed lessons can and should be made up in a class the same age if there is room in a class of that same age. Make-up classes are most beneficial to the student if completed the week immediately following the absence if that is possible. Please call the studio to schedule a make-up time due to safety and class limitations.

SEVERE WEATHER DAYS
Intrepid Dance Company will call off classes if the weather is too severe. We will email those classes affected by this. If you are a part of our Facebook Studio Messenger, we will also push a message out that way. You can also join us in our Private IDC Facebook group as well. We will also update our website and Facebook page for class
